Alyshia Lord

Alyshia K. Lord is an attorney at Bonnici Law Group, where she works closely with Managing Attorney, Joshua M. Bonnici, in litigating serious personal injury, wrongful death, premises liability, and product liability matters. With an impressive background in Plaintiffs’ personal injury and class action consumer law, Alyshia has dedicated her legal career to advocating for those harmed by the actions of others as a result of medical negligence, sexual abuse, traffic collisions, property owner negligence, and illegal consumer practices.

Prior to joining Bonnici Law Group, Alyshia worked at San Diego’s oldest and one of its most prestigious personal injury law firms, where she litigated catastrophic injury and high-profile cases against some of the nation’s largest corporations—securing numerous multi-million-dollar results for her clients. Additionally, she has empowered survivors of sexual abuse by giving them a voice to tell their stories while working at a leading national law firm specializing in civil justice for victims of childhood sexual abuse, representing hundreds of survivors of abuse at a now-defunct large group foster home in Los Angeles County.

Alyshia's dedication to service is evident not only in her professional achievements, but also through her participation in the legal community, notably with the William B. Enright Chapter of American Inns of Court, Lawyer’s Club of San Diego, and Consumer Attorneys of both San Diego and Los Angeles. Her commitment and hard work garnered her recognition by Thomson Reuters as a Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025.

Alyshia's academic accomplishments include earning a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Texas State University, where she graduated summa cum laude, and a Juris Doctor from California Western School of Law. While in law school, Alyshia devoted her time and efforts to the California Innocence Project, an organization dedicated to freeing the innocent and wrongfully convicted from prison, and the San Diego County Public Defender’s Office as a student and clinical intern.

She is licensed to practice in California and admitted into both the Southern and Central Districts of California of the United States District Court.

Beyond her legal pursuits, Alyshia enjoys going to county music concerts, weight-training, gardening, and spending time with her partner and their four dogs - Riley, Hank, Rosco, and Nala.
